The Adult Activities Center is supported through fundraising, grants and donations, with the majority of funding coming from the Town of North Hempstead, Port Washington Community Chest, Peter & Jeri Dejana Foundation, and other sources.
We also rely on the generosity of our residents, businesses, and other non-profit organizations to be able to continue to expand programming and offer hot lunch for a nominal fee.
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and are fully tax-deductible since we are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Please make checks payable to:
Port Washington Senior Citizens, Inc.
Please mail checks to:
80 Manorhaven Blvd
Port Washington, NY 11050
Thank you in advance for your generosity! Our board, staff, and especially our seniors greatly appreciate it!
We offer a variety of enjoyable and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
Whether you’re interested in helping with a craft class, serving lunch during holiday parties, playing games with seniors or have a new idea for
programming you’d like to help with, we would love to have you.
The best part of volunteering for our Center is that the commitment doesn’t have to be time consuming or every week. Whether once a week, once a month or once a year, whatever time you have would be greatly appreciated…and please invite a friend to come along to help!
Please contact the Center to discuss volunteer opportunities at
516-883-6656 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Help Spread the Word
Our Center has well over 200 members. Some stay for the entire day while others enjoy one class a week. That’s what’s great about our Center. There truly is something for everyone.
Please refer adults 55+ who you feel might be interested in participating in one or more of our programs to our Center. We would love to give them a tour and have them join us for a day before they decide whether or not they want to commit to joining.
